I am a Natural Botanical Perfumer. I began my foray into NBP in 2003/2004, and my prior experience includes creating natural skin care and aromatic bath sundries beginning in 1996. I owned and operated an online business creating primarily natural soaps and bath oils called Sierra Soapourri; co-owned and operated a real life skincare business for 1 year called Delicia Natural Skincare Delicatessen in Fresno, CA. I utilize many different techniques to create perfume, from the much lauded Jean Carles technique, to the Curtis technique, to intuitive and experiential techniques; I also distill many of my own oils and hydrosols, and I am currently developing a simple at-home method of solvent extraction for creation of more on site sourced aromatics. Prior to working with aromatics, I wrote several articles and pieces of fiction, some of which were published in obscure, minimal subscription magazines, including a cookbook for game and roadkill which was self-published and became a bestseller at the local mountain tavern where I lived at the time. My talents are odd and varied.
