A few to several years ago, I had wanted to purchase jewelry. All I could find was just a simple faceted stone or charm on a chain, which is fine, but I like bold, unique, artistic jewelry, made with gemstone beads, shells, precious metal, and was not able to find any in my area.

So I had decided to make my own jewelry. Seemed to be simple enough, right? HaHa the joke was on me. Trying to find unique beads or supplies locally was nearly impossible, and what I did find was high priced and the selections were so-so at best.

After my ordeal searching for supplies and making some jewelry, I was thinking other people must be having the same feelings about their jewelry selections and or supplies to make their own jewelry.

I had decided there must be better selections at a more reasonable price somewhere. So I let my fingers do the walking all over the internet for hours upon hours. Ahhhhhh, alas I had found some suppliers with unique items decently priced. Made my purchases to check out the quality and started market reaserch.

I had worked craft shows, flea markets, of course got opinions from co-workers, friends and family. I received plenty of feedback. Many comments pertained to the quantity of beads. Either the 16" or 32" strands were to long, or only two or three larger beads were needed, not a whole 16" strand of large beads.

So I had taken the comments into consideration and decided to start a business that focused on gemstone beads, shell beads, pendants and more, in reasonable quantities.

Quantities that a novice beader could use in a design,or that a begining beader could have a variety of beads without having to make a large investment.

Hence Beaders Cove was established for the savvy beader.
