Thanks for dropping by! We're Chuck and Carolyn, lampworkers since 1994.

Chuck: Grew up in western Nebraska, in the fields and prairies. Moved to the east coast briefly, then headed for Alaska where there weren't so many people. Bought a truck and drove from Boston to Fairbanks, with Smokey the cat in the back. (She settled down eventually) Got his pilots license, bought a plane, met his wife, and acquired the most beautiful daughter in the whole world.

Carolyn: Born and raised in Alaska, almost born in an airplane as there was no doctor in Seldovia at the time. Grew up on a fishing boat, with salt water in her veins and fish scales in her hair. Remembers the Good Friday earthquake and pipeline days in Anchorage, canning salmon and cutting wood for winter....wishes she could go home again, sometimes. Was working on her pilots license when she met Chuck, so they had much in common immediately.... Now they've come full circle to Nebraska, sunflowers and endless vistas, thunderstorms and tomatoes without a greenhouse. The most beautiful daughter in the world is growing up fast and making her own art, some of which is beads. They live in an old house in a tiny old town, with several young cats and dogs, a lizard, and three bunnies, um, the bunnies did what?
