I often use recycled clothing items to make bags, purses and other items. I take thrift store t shirts and turn them into messenger bags, tote bags or unique handbags.

I am a married mother of four and have been actively selling online since February of 2009. As a child, I learned only minimal sewing skills but in '09 decided it was time to teach myself to sew. I borrowed my mother in law's Singer sewing machine and voila! here we are! In this shop, I sell mostly sewn items. Having worked in social services and being married to a teacher, I find that the solitary and creative aspects of sewing relax me. I also love being able to look at something and say, "Hey, I made that!" I love drawing and painting as well as other crafty things. I try to use recycled, upcycled, or found materials when I can and absolutely love visiting all the great local thrift stores! A lot of my bags start life as a recycled t shirt. However, they are not cheap "t shirt bags". Each ClaireB Designs One-of-a-Kind bag is truly an ORIGINAL and I make sure that each bag has its own PERSONALITY. My goal is to make a totally unique item that will get you noticed and admired.
