I started making all natural soap to solve my gardener's hands problem. Along the way, my gardening friends wanted to have nice hands, too. After a lot of product testing (and really happy friends and family), Dr. Bubbles Handmade Soap came into being.
Frankly, I didn't think that the world needed another bar of soap. There are already so many soap makers out there. But, after selling thousands of bars of soap to satisfied (and softer) customers around the world, this smarty pants PhD researcher stands corrected...LOL!!!
Our commitment is to sustainable and 100% natural skin care products that are completely free of synthetic chemical additives. This is more challenging than you might imagine. For example, many of the popular fragrances in personal care products are synthetic fragrance oils. Fragrance oils are not essential oils. Only essential oils are derived from natural plant materials. Because we use essential oils exclusively, we cannot offer every possible fragrance due to their artificial (laboratory) derivation.
Virtually all of today's skin care products contain synthetic additives as either product 'improvements' or preservatives. These additives provide an infinite product shelf life and are mostly a convenience for manufacturers. This convenience is at the expense of our individual and collective well-being. Most of these popular synthetic additives and preservatives have known toxicities. Because your largest organ, your skin, is a permeable layer that readily absorbs 80% of molecules on its surface, many of these synthetic compounds eventually find their way into your blood stream and then to your body's organs.
We design our products to be cleansing AND gentle. Without synthetic additives and preservatives, our products allow your skin to function normally. When your skin functions as it should, some pretty amazing things begin to happen.
For starters, your skin becomes soft and supple. For another, some of the most vexing skin sensitivities start to go away. These include things like seasonal eczema, painfully cracked cuticles, and many forms of chemically induced dermatitis. Many people with skin sensitivities don't realize that what they really have are synthetic ingredient sensitivities to these synthetic additives.
Finally, I discovered by accident that using all natural soap eliminated my need for hand and body lotions. Imagine that? Stepping off of the entire synthetic additive/preservative treadmill (synthetically enhanced soaps and then applying synthetically enhanced lotions to replenish my chemically damaged skin) completely eliminated the need for a cabinet full of stuff for my skin.
What the giant cosmetic companies don't want to hear is that my now damage free skin has never looked or felt better. I no longer have to wade through a boat load of information and complex skin-care regimens to figure out which chemical cocktail will or won't irritate my skin. I wouldn't want to advocate any sort of conspiracy theory, but... Did Cleopatra or any of the other ageless beauties need sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or Diethanolamine (DEA) to have a bubbling bar of soap and beautiful skin? C'mon...
We can't promise you the fountain of youth, but we believe that your skin will feel better once you lose the extra synthetic additives in your personal care products. Thanks to the natural ingredients in our formulas provided by mother nature herself, we work hard to help you save your skin.
Our products are 100% natural and chemical free. We never test on animals. All of our products are tested/used by us and our human product testers. We contribute a percentage of our profits to support animal rescue organizations.
