Gauche Alchemy is the brain child of Amy Wing and Heather Pearson, two working mamas in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. We love found objects, vintage ephemera, and all manner of nontraditional supplies. We adore paper and fiber and ribbon and lace and fabric... metal and plastic and... well, you get it. Our goal is to support and encourage creative thought and expression by providing materials that help artists of all types think think differently about their creative pursuits. We endeavor to be the "jumping-off point" for your next great idea! We are all about upcycling, as well as digging up the best manufactured products we can find. Born in San Francisco, Heather Pearson is a painted mama to a precocious pre-schooler and harbors a deep love for fashion, bright colours, mid century design and kitsch, polka dots, art deco and really good espresso. Amy Wing is a wife and mom to a energetic toddler and a 10-going-on-15-year-old. She practices medicine part-time as a physician assistant but would not be complete without a creative outlet. She is typically freshly washed and comfortable, but she cleans up good.
