Get to Know
At the age of 40 I was accepted into the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, a life-long dream for me. I already had a bachelors degree, and never believed in myself enough to realize that the voice that was calling me to Art was authentic, real, and deserved to be explored. I also had a full time job and a family to support, so progress was slow. Later I was accepted into the Interior Design program within the same art school. After several years of study I put my academics on hold as my job became more demanding and my family life expanded through adoption. The need to create remains strong. I chose jewelry making because I LIKED it. It intrigued me, and it continues to do so. It stretches my imagination and stimulates my mind. It is also portable which makes it easier to accomplish with a busy schedule. I launched "Juxta-Pose" in October of 2010 and I'm growing this business on a daily basis, because I realize, THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
