I live by one the Great Lakes and I'm sure that affects my spirit and my perception of shapes and colors. As a kid I would pick up beach glass because I loved its muted tones and wave washed smoothness. And now that it's hard to find because we don't use glass in packaging much anymore, I wish that I would have saved some! But it does makes sense that I found a hobby where I can handle beautiful glass beads with a history to fulfill the creative side of me.
