I am retired from the health-care sector and have always wanted to allow my creative side to emerge but could never find the time to get into it while working. Once retired, I started making jewelry as a hobby and soon realized that I needed to sell my creations to sustain my passion. In my designs, I offer casual elegance, drama, as well as fun and whimsy . I design unique pieces that are stylish and timeless. My prices are moderate and the income allows me to continue doing something I truly love. I use good quality beads and findings. My buyers are special to me. Nothing pleases me more than to create a piece on special request from a customer. The name Padre Designs is derived from beautiful South Padre Island, Texas. It's where my husband and I spend our winters. A lot of my pieces are inspired by the beauty of South Padre Island's spectacular sunsets, the soft colors of the water, and the island's sandy beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
