My copper jewelry is only made with copper purchased from a jewelry supply company that promises 99.9% pure copper. Some jewelers use hardware store or industiral copper for their jewelry.
Get to Know
I have made stained glass items for 14 years. I started doing glass in Iowa and made lots of items for friends and family. Since moving to Arizona in 2006, I have started selling my art glass items. I love making windows but have only made about a half dozen custom designs. I make lots of suncatchers and other decorative items. The items that sell best locally are sahuaros, javelins, somberos, and other typical southwest icons. The center of stained glass is in Tucson, fairly far from home so I started doing lapidary work here at the Green Valley Lapidary and Silversmith Club. We have 388 members and 3 studios. I expanded into silversmithing, metal working, lost wax casting. I do a lot of copper jewelry being in a large copper producing state. Most of my jewelry is sold at local craft fairs.
