About Quilt Comforts I live in northern New Mexico at the base of the Rockies, beautiful country. I have been making quilts for about 10 years between kids,work and life. My mother is 94 years young and recently had a stroke. The first couple of days in the hospital she was in extreme pain and greatly confused. On the third night, one of the nurses brought in a homemade quilt to place on her. I watched her face and the pain melted away, she snuggled down into it and slept her first peaceful sleep. I decided it was time for me to give this comfort to others. "Quilt Comforts was created!"
