Skills and Techniques
My first formal education was in Fine Art, but since then, I have also extensively studied decorative painting, trompe l'oeil and murals! I am also proud to have studied under Michel Nadai, the premier craftsman of France, in the art of trompe l'oeil murals and molding!
I'm a painter, mixed media artist, sculptor, professional muralist and decorative painter (faux artist), and I dabble in just about anything else creative!

I believe in a few really important things beyond respecting oneself and others, and caring for family and friends:
I think you should be aware of who you patronize; do those companies use their money wisely? do they support ecologically safe and humanitarian causes?
I think wherever you can, you ought to at least try to learn to recycle, reuse AND reduce.
I truly believe that helping another will bring happiness and prosperity to oneself.
I believe in "pay it forward", and it wasn't invented in a movie. Ben Franklin was also pretty keen on the subject!
I believe in helping animals and people!

Peanut, the Smelly Rhino, is really a typical house dog. Mixed breed, nothing really special about her. But with all the fuss about endangered species, she decided she would jump on the bandwagon and try and get some attention. I mean, she was already silly and talented, but it just didn't seem to be enough..So, she strapped on a plastic rhino horn and voila, she became the Smelly Rhino!--an artist with a mission. To serve others as well as be self-serving!! The most important goal is doing what she loves, and that's painting! By living her dream, she can also help endangered species and domestic animals who need help too! and that's pretty neat!

My name is Rebecca. I was born on one coast and raised on the other. I love water, the outdoors and people!
I paint interiors including faux finishing, murals and trompe l'oeil. I don't have any children, so that must be why I relate to them so well, because I never had to grow up! When I'm not at a private home making the walls beautiful, I paint in my studio and create whatever makes me happy.
I love dogs. Dogs are cool.
I love music. I play guitar a little.
I love to sing (apparently when I don't realize it.)
I love food and cooking, but especially eating.
I love toys and swings, and things that make you remember not to grow too old too fast.
I love my family and remembering fondly what made me this way!
I hold hope that my love of life, fun, good people (and my belief in karma) will keep me fortunate and carry me adventurously for another half a century!
