Hi, my name is Laura Miller, I am a self taught artist. I am married with 2 beautiful kids, my son is 19 years old and my daughter is 14 years old. Both are very creative in their own way.

I have been crafting ever since I was a kid, I have always loved to doodle on paper corners lol, but never got into actually drawing. When I was in my 20s I came across the technique of beading using small seed beads. I was fascinated to say the least. The beautiful earrings and bracelets you can make with them were gorgeous. And so my journey began.

I started making earrings and giving them away as gifts to family and friends. One day a friend suggested I sell them, she felt my work was much better quality than the ones she sees in the stores and at fairs. So I made about a dozen earrings all different and began to sell them. It was a big hit especially with the kids in the neighborhood.

Once my daughter was born I had to put all my crafting on the side burner, as she was extremely sick when she was born. I spent the next year just working with her. She was born sever asthmatic, allergic to everything, and 55% deaf.

Fast forward to today, first she is doing fantastic after many years of speech therapy and training. Due to her lack of being able to communicate she started to draw out what she wanted. This is when I noticed her ability to draw perfect people when she was just 2 years old. As the years went by I encouraged her to keep drawing and exploring her artistic side which got me back into mine.

We now work together, she draws out my designs and I create them using an assortment of media, but mainly beads. It is great to work together now and create our own items.
