Get to Know
Having background in education, literature, and chemistry, I consider myself a Jane of all trades, who credits soap making with releasing my inner mad scientist, which had been in hibernation since college. Swan Maiden Soap, named after the shape shifter creature of myths and tales across cultures, offers a diverse collection of soaps, handmade from the finest base oils and certified organic herbs and essential oils. When possible, ingredients are procured locally -- some flowers and herbs, even, are grown in my own yard. I am constantly experimenting: with base recipes, essential oil mixtures, and with textures, botanicals, and exfoliants. While Swan Maiden will sell many tried-and-true favorites, be on the lookout for new and seasonal items -- and feel free to make personal requests!
