Welcome to The Sewing Cottage. As early as I can remember I loved to sew. After graduating from high school and attending college and working full time at Virginia Berry Farm, I was asked to make theme costumes. My major in college was business and after marriage, children and moving to the Northwest I put all of this to use making prom, bridal, boutique clothes, pageant wear and costuming. Now that my children are raised, I am enjoying designing and making outfits for our grandchildren as well. It is wonderful to do something you enjoy and work from your home.
