Get to Know
I operate out of my studio in southern Maine. After many years of creating 3-D pop art for an internationally known artist, I moved to Maine from New York in 2001. Having an interest in metal sculpture and a BFA from Manhattanville College, where I studied three dimensional design, I combined art with my interest in old tin and created Tin Can Sally Switch Plates.
I search daily for old and new advertising tins - such as Maxwell House Coffee, Cracker Jack, Barnum's Animal Crackers, Band Aid and Tetley Tea (to name a few). After carefully studying the graphics on each tin, I hand-cut and form each switch plate individually. No two are exactly alike and some are only 1 or 2 of a kind!
Each tin is hand-cut and formed into a unique switch plate or outlet cover that is sure to match your decor! Buy them exclusively on ArtFire. Or, send me your tin and I will custom make light switch covers for you!
I also make key chains from old license plates! I buy out of service license plates at yard sales and cut them up into unique key chains that are sure to start conversations! Use them for your house and car keys or for a designated key. They are large - sized about 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches - making them very hard to misplace! They are available in letters and numbers and they are all one of a kind!
