My five year old self was pretty sure she'd be an artist when she grew up. And wouldn't it be cool to have her own business too!
Somewhere along the line, between technical school and a whole variety of jobs, it all came true. These days I'm an artist who works from her studio on the Canadian prairies. The world around me, the fairytales and stories people tell and people themselves are my inspiration for my beads and artwork.
POLYMER CLAY
The work I offer on ArtFire is made with polymer clay, a great oven-bake modeling material that I recommend to everyone I meet.
Most of my work involves subjects from nature made into canes or millefiori, a complex technique based on glass arts. Images are built up through a series of blended colours and shapes, then sliced thinly and applied to bead bases.
Most of my work is sanded and polished or antiqued and distressed.
