Skills and Techniques
Experience with gold, platinum and sterling silver deisgn, production and fabrication; stone setting, enameling (cloisonne, champleve, basse taille and plique a jour techniches), repousse, die forming, was carving, injection and casting. Experience with operation and use of ALS 35 laser welder.

Zen Creations is handmade freshwater pearl, crystal, glass, gemstone, sterling and fine silver jewelry by Heather Nowell.
I have over 13 years experience as a jeweler, and experience with enameling, silver, gold, and platinum. I studied various aspects of jewelry design, fabrication and gemology at FIT in New York and Kutztown University.
For 5 years I worked for a Paul Morelli http://www.paulmorelli.com in Philadelphia, PA, where I had the opportunity to work with and learn from some very talented jewelers. Many of the pieces I worked on were featured in movies, tv (Sex & The City) and fashion magazines.
After the birth of my daughter, and being diagnosed with a platelet disorder, I decided it was time for a change. I wanted to spend time with my daughter, and still do what I love -- make jewelry. The result --- Zen Creations.
My goal is to create jewelry that is well made, fun and most of all, affordable. All items are carefully crafted and made with high quality materials.
