I hope everyone enjoys viewing "works in progress"!! Thought I would start a series of blog post showing painting stages of my latest art pieces. This week I'm working on two small paintings from an art collection I call "Horses of the Desert Valley" where the subjects will be wild (feral) horses found in their roaming landscapes out in the western US. "From my friends" as the song goes, I'm writing about my Artfire friends in particular. My unique style of jewelry, the hand painted miniature painting pendant necklaces and now bracelets, was inspired and helped by an artisan I met here on Artfire several years ago, Gypsy Goods. She has a very creative and practical mindset and honed in on what she could make to help me in my creations. Indeed, why do I love to make horse art, or equestrian art, equine art, western horse art, or southwest horse art? I suppose the answer to that is simply that I am a true horse lover, finding that passion early in life and it's never left me since. In fact my entire life of 45+ years has been centered around involvement with horses in some way or fashion!
