How To Eliminate Glare and reflections When Photographing Jewelry


    When you have glare the best way to get rid of the glare and reflections is either by going outside on an overcast day and photographing your jewelry.  When photographing your jewelry indoors you eliminate glare and reflections by reflecting the light onto your jewelry rather than shining the light from your light source directly onto the subject.  Don't use light from your camera's flash to photograph your jewelry. Waterfall and Aspen Trees Photographed in Black Hawk, Colorado, Matted Photograph

Photographing A Wine Glass


I was playing around late last night and this morning trying to photograph an empty wine glass.  Last night I took the photographs of the wine glass using a single light source, no flash.  I used reflective light from my goose neck halogen desk lamp for the lighting.Here are my 3 best wine glass photographs.  All of these photographs where edited using GIMP.This first photograph was taken with only reflective light and a black background.  The second wine glass photograph was also taken using a black background but the black poster board in this photograph had some blue in the background which I just left pretty much alone when I edited the ... » Read More
