Happy Valentines Day to everyone!  Today is so special to the young and old alike.  Although to me Valentines Day (like most holiday's) has become so commercial I still get my hubby a 'little something' and give my kids a special treat.  For the VERY young it is a time to get sweets and try to grab a kiss.  For the teens and tweens it is the possibility of love.  For those young adults it is blooming of a romance that may or may not turn into something.  And for those of us who are 'older and wiser' it is simply a way to spend more money on the young ones!  I find that for me the 'little things' that my hubby does every... » Read More

Good Morning everyone.  I hope that you have had a busy - creative - week.  Life here, as you know, has been busy and doesn't seem to want to slow down!  Yesterday I was able to bead, and life was good!  But then.... life got in the way! I have to say that since I started beading full time I have been VERY lucky to be able to stay home and make this more than a hobby/craft, for me, it is a business.  Most people that I talk to say that TIME MANAGEMENT is the biggest enemy of people that work at home.  I AGREE! So yesterday I think that I actually got caught up.  I THINK!! I know that I didn't get any help from our dog, Ziggy... What a weekend!!  I can not tell you all the things that happened, but I can tell you that I had fun, was exhausted and worked like crazy!  Oh ya, and there were NO beads involved!!  WOW! But I was able to finish this set to list in my studio.... I like this one, it is a nice bright color and has a wonderful hidden saying under the sun! What a Fabulous Friday this is!  I have been working on some new creations this week - nothing is finished yet - and busy with life.  So, unfortunately I do not have a new creation for you to look at.  I'll show off something I finished a little while ago, just because I love it! Today's tantrum is very personal, it is about Manners.  Yes, that that only the 'old people have'!   I know that WE have come a long way from the time of 'pen and ink' style of writing, but I am not sure why we have lost our manners too.  With all this great new technology you would think it would be easier to say THANK YOU or PLEASE.  Instead I find that many people I run into don't even remember what those words are for.  I try very hard to respond to all my emails, all my comments and all those who 'favorite' me.  I know that with all the HOPS I do I also find people who just don't know how/what to do when someone is... » Read More

Oh my, it has been a busy week.  I know, I know, it is only Wednesday, but for me the week and weekend sometimes blur!  This is one of those 'sometimes'!!  I still had a little time last night to bead... just enough to keep my sanity! Yesterday we spend with my beads....aaauuuuwwww!  My life seems to get busier and busier and somehow this means my beads get neglected.  In turn that means that I am less relaxed.  I know that for many people they look at the 'little' beads I use and think how stressful and complicated it would be to put them together into a design or creation.  For me, though, they are relaxing.  When I start working on them my mind has to consentrate on the beads and they way they are put together.  They actually CAUSE me to relax and enjoy my creation.   Here is my newest... this little key chain / photo album was so fun to make.  ... » Read More

What a Marvelous Monday it is!  Over the past weekend I actually got caught up with my life!  YEP!!  I was able to do some beading, some cleaning and even had a dinner out for Hubby for his Birthday! Happy Birthday HUBBY, you are still older than me!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So what did I do for the beading part?  Oh, you will love some of the new designs.  This is the first one, it is ALL green, but soooo sparle'ly!!  This is one of those sets that you can wear with your business suit or with jeans.  I love sets that can be used fro dress up or dress down.  What do you think? Today I am going to do things a little different.  I have thrown plenty of tantrums over the past few days.  So today I am going to show you some things that inspire me personally and my jewelry creations (both in color and design). First there is the Ruby.  I am not sure why I have always been attracted to Ruby's, but since I was a child I have always thought that they were one of the BEST gemstones. Many of you saw the photo of my little Monster on my fan page last night, but for those of you who didn't, here is Monster and his black eye! YEP, my wonderful kids were playing outside and Aye was sitting on a concrete wall when she started to slip.....then when she swung her foot out to save herself (in cowboy boots - of course)....
