Happy Valentine's Day

30 Day Challenge


I recently took part in a 30 day art challenge.  The challenge was to create a piece of art each day for 30 days.  I was the only artist with fabric and fiber art so I felt somewhat intimidated by the challenge but it was a fun experience in creativity and I would do it again.I started day one with the ideas for four different pieces and was able to finish them in 3 days.  Day 5 and 6 were followed by several days of no ideas plus I was busy with craft sales.  By the 12th day I was back on track and then actually finished before the deadline.  All of my creations were on display for a month here in Lewiston, Idaho and I sold two of them.  I ... » Read More

Wired Abstract


Wanted to share my lastest creation!  I call it "wired".  Appropriate name for it seems everyone I meet is wired about the weather and ready for it to be warm and spring like.  It has not made it to our area of Idaho yet.  Have a nice day and then back to the rainy and cool cycle we have been in all spring. The fabric beads on this piece were made by rolling pieces of fabric and then tieing them with a piece of fiber.  They are fun to make and can add a fun element to a quilt.  I am planning to experiment with more of them in future pieces. Art Quilts


Art Fire has just launched a new format for our studios.  I hope you find it easier to navigate thru and like the new fresh look. My art quilts were in a show at Valley Art Center for the month of July so they were not available for viewing during that time.  I now have them relisted here and have been adding new ones as time allows.
