Square Yellow Checked Tablecloth

I've finished the square yellow check tablecloth and it is now loaded onto my studio site at ArtFire.  This tablecloth is designed to fit either a 5' or 6' square table.  Unfortunately, I do not have access to that type of table to display this cloth as it would actually look.  It is shown here on a standard 30" height table.  Usually the square tables are much taller.  This picture is showing the amount of drape that would fall over the edge of the table if this cloth were placed on a 5' square table which amounts to appx 13" of drop.  Approximately 8" of drop will be visible when this cloth is placed onto a 6' square table.  Check out all... » Read More

I'm seeing a lot of incoming URLs to my UniquelyHandmade studio on ArtFire with the search term yellow check tablecloth.  Clearly I need a different size yellow check tablecloth for sale.  With that in mind, I'm working on a yellow check tablecloth to fit a table that is 5' square up to 6' square.  The piece I'm working on is looking really nice.  I just have to make some more time soon to finish the seams and hem the edges.  I'll post again when I've gotten it up on the site.  In the meantime, click on over to my studio on ArtFire and see the newest items now available.Until then,Karen... » Read More

Pillow Sham Newest Arrival

Hi friends,Just a quickie to spout off about my newest item in my UniquelyHandmade studio at ArtFire.  Its a king size pillow sham made of sturdy linen and cotton fabric.  The fabric is a muslin colored background with fishermen toiling in a boat, a lighthouse, a reel, and buoys.  The toile printed tan features are outlined in a charcoal color.  This item would compliment a beach house bedroom, a yacht, or a boys room.  The sham is pictured on a queen bed but I assure you it is built for a standard king pillow.  This is not the frilly sham that I have had available until now.  This has a more generic or masculine appeal.   Take a look... » Read More

I’ve been sewing for, well let’s just say since I was 13 years old. My grandmother Ollie Shoemaker, who’s been in heaven since 1990, was my inspiration to sew. My mother often spoke of how Grandma made her and her sister’s school dresses from flour sacks. Have you heard of this fabric, toile?  I first learned of this fabric when I returned home after purchasing my fabrics for my linens and tablecloths I have for sale at my UniquelyHandmade studio on ArtFire.
