Country Girl Visits The City of Boston

Yep every now and again I leave my little corner of the world to visit other parts of the state. I am not a city girl not even a little bit, for the life of me I can't imagine why all those people want to live in one spot...LOLBoston though has become one of my favorite city's to visit. I will admit we were visiting my mother in-law who I just adore and always have. Some Inside Experiments With Water Casting

experiments are what I'm all about. I love trying new things with metal and this just looked like way to much fun not to. So I search the internet to find some information on water casting. I only found a few detailed tutorials with very few photos. I couldn't find a decent video either, wrong kind of water casting. Water casting is a great way to make an organic looking droplet, you can also use the same technique over just about any surface. You'll often see me with a pad and pencil long before a I break out the saw and torch.I have pads full of drawings with designs all ready to be made. A few years ago after I really started loving making jewelry I had a creative melt down. I would sit at my desk and well make nothing all day. I would organize my work area, look at all my gemstones and just nothing would come out. Off to bed I would go with ideas floating around in my head.
