Rocks have always held a fascination for me. From the giant  boulders that we would scramble up on as small children to the smooth cool rocks found in the creeks and streams. There was always a stash of my favorites on my dresser and I lined walk ways and gardens with my finds. As I grew older crystals and gem stones grabbed my attention. Some more than others.

Tourmaline is one of those gem stones that "speaks" to me. I love all the colors it comes in, but in particular the watermelon variety holds me spell bound. Each year  my husband and I attend the Tucson Gem Show, we drool over the vast displays and carefully make our purchases. Some strands of beads are made into necklaces, earrings, bracelets and anklets right away. Others are placed carefully into storage bins and await just the right spark from my creative muse. These fantastic stones drive me to become better at my craft. To learn more jewelry making skills, to take classes and to do each slice, crystal, nugget and bead justice.

Tourmaline jewelry is always  a hot seller  at our shows and events. Most of the time, items sell before I am able to take a picture of the product and list them on line. Many of our customers like not only the colors, shapes and feel of Tourmaline, they are drawn to the metaphysical properties of the stones. Tourmaline is said to calm, protect, promote focus and balance. Each color has its own special attributes:

Black - strong protection from negative energies.

Pink -  promotes compassion, love and healing of emotional pain.

Green -  cleanses and detoxifeis the spirit, brings prosperity.

Blue - helpful with  speech and mental peace.

Watermelon - heals old emotional pains and brings emotional understanding.

If you have not yet discoved the beauty of Tourmaline, now is the perfect time to learn about this wonderful stone.
