That is, I do not close my shop or stop doing business, ever, on any holiday--unless I am traveling or ill. You can always count on my studio being open.
When I know I will be closing the shop for a short time, I always try to give at least a week's notice ahead of time.
What has prompted this post is the fact that I spent all day on the phone yesterday trying to find someone to set up an appointment to come and service a couple of appliances in my home. Not only were none of the servicers to whom I was referred not open, but none of them even had the courtesy to set their voice mail to notify callers of this. I feel that is bad customer service, so I will not be going with those servicers in the future.
My goal is to provide excellent customer service and to avoid any unhappy surprises.
