Photographing A Wine Glass

I was playing around late last night and this morning trying to photograph an empty wine glass.  Last night I took the photographs of the wine glass using a single light source, no flash.  I used reflective light from my goose neck halogen desk lamp for the lighting.

Here are my 3 best wine glass photographs.  All of these photographs where edited using GIMP.

This first photograph was taken with only reflective light and a black background.

The second wine glass photograph was also taken using a black background but the black poster board in this photograph had some blue in the background which I just left pretty much alone when I edited the photo.

The third wine glass photograph was taken today around 10 a.m. using indirect sunlight coming in my my South facing living room window.  There was also some light from the overhead flourescent light which is the yellow color in the image.

Which wine glass photograph do you like the most?   All comments, both good and bad, are welcome.

I am happy that you like the top wine glass photograph. I understand what you are saying about the second wine glass photograph. I couldn't decide which photo is better between either of the top two photographs. I figured that since some wine is red that I would try using a red background. I am thrilled that you have given me such great feedback about my wine glass photographs. Thank you for commenting about my wine glass photographs.

I really like the top photo, looks like the crispest shot to me and the reflections in the glass have a great look.
I'm not that keen on the reflection in the second, too bright.
The third, I'm not a fan of the red but it does seem to be the best for the glass rather than what the glass is reflecting.
