Mom deserves a special Day. I know it has been commercialized to death, but really she does so much for so many for so little in return. Moms do everything out of Love, She puts everyone's need before her own. Lets give all the mom's in our lives a great big hug right now, and tell her how much you love and appreciate her! 
Gifts for mom are sometimes difficult to choose, but most moms would appreciate something that she wouldn't go out and buy herself. You know, something she doesn't need, but would love to have. Jewelry falls into this category as well as flowers. Any Items that pamper or make her feel special are perfect for Mother's Day. And Vintage Items are even better, read on!
But a vintage Serving Dish? Why Not? It's fun & pretty to use; that isn't really a necessity, that could be considered a want..or vintage water glasses... just like her mom used to have when she was little? Vintage items are Nostalgic items and mean so much more because they take us back to our favorite memories.
Maybe she will make cookies and serve them to her friends using that vintage milk glass serving dish you got her. She will smile and think of you each time she sees it! One of my mom's Favorite mother's day gifts ever was a beautiful vintage vase filled with flowers from her own lilac bush that I had picked and arranged. The vase was just like one she used to have!
Being a Mom really is the hardest and most rewarding career I have ever had. I wouldn't trade a minute of it, not one! OK, maybe there are a few minutes better off forgotten that I wouldn't mind trading for a day at the beach.
But I do have 2 wonderful daughters and those of you with girls know how challenging this can be. I have been blessed beyond words. This I know.
