No Wasted Effort

Many people seem to get discouraged if whatever they are doing doesn't seem to pan out, and give up before they are sure of what the results of whatever they have tried come to pass.
My experience is that there is no wasted effort, you just have to try harder and perhaps work a bit longer to get your work seen. The thing that I've always loved about my craft business is that there are so many ways of experimenting with the way that you present your work whether it is at craft shows, consignment, wholesaling, home parties, etc.
I recently did a gallery show which lasted for a month. The sales were dismal, not even paying for the gas to deliver and pick up my work. After the show, I received a call from a shop owner who had seen my work displayed asking if I would be interested in consigning my work in her shop. If I hadn't been in the gallery show, I wouldn't have received the request and since it's in a good location, I'll give it a try.
Don't be too hasty to give up on your creativity!
