What are Dog Collar Slipcovers?

Dog Collar Slipcovers are worn over your dog's existing collar. The leash loop and dog tags fit through a button hole so that you can change the look without changing collars. The collar slipcover patterns were designed by Penny Sanford Designs (http://pennysanford.typepad.com/) and are made and sold with her permission.

What styles are available and what are the prices?

There are 4 basic designs available from SewAmazin - The Straight, Ric Rac, Scallop/Ruffle and Triangle/Bandana. There are minor variations of each style to add embellishments such as trim, fabric yo-yos, and machine embroidery. Pricing varies from $8.00US to $10.00US.

What Size are the slipcovers?

Size is based on the length and width of your dog's collar in one inch increments and the amount of gathering desired. Most of my samples are made to fit my dogs, who are the models, but in most cases I can make them to fit your dog's collar. Generally, the slipcover length is about 1 or 2 inches longer than your dog's collar for a moderate amount of gathering.

Most are made of 100% cotton quilting weight fabric, with polyester ric rac trims. Unless otherwise noted, they are  machine washable and tumble dry.

How much of my purchase goes to help rescue?

I donate 10% of the sales price of each dog collar slipcover to WestieMed to help care for ill or injured rescued Westies. There are other items in my shop that also contribute a percentage of sales to WestieMed. Whenever the total monies collected reaches an increment of $25, I send a donation via their website http://www.westiemed.org

I accept PayPal and Amazon Payments. I ship to US, Canada and other countries via USPS 1st Class mail and my shipping rate is based on the weight/packaging for each item. Most Dog Collar Slipcovers weigh about 2 ounces. Please see the Policies tab in my shop for additional information.
