Not often asked but I can imagine when you come to my site you wonder what is
rustic western jewelry. The jewelry I create doesn't look like true western jewelry but yet it isn't a polished type jewelry either. First lets take apart each word of rustic western jewelry and maybe get a better understanding of what my creations mean to me and you.
relating to, or suitable for the country rural or farmland
Made of the rough limbs of trees Wood grain Ring
Characteristic of or resembling country people or lacking in social graces or polish
It can be made from the country (as in plainness or sturdiness)
So basically anything that has to do with the country or outdoors. I love natural textures including stone, sea shell, wood, leaves and even just dirt.
Often my creations will have a western or natural background texture that may come from items like stone walls, broken concrete, wood, or leather.
often refers to settlers or the frontier, farmers and cattle ranchers. Western also is depicted in old movies and can be a geological places. In my jewelry it is created through the texture, stones, and materials I use.
Putting these together along with my love of native American Indians, raw nature, and anything that sparkles you have what I call and consider Rustic Western Jewelry.
Is it what it really means, well maybe not but it's my interpretation of it.
