How many of you move things around in your shop? We all have our featured products at the top. Do you change those once in awhile? How about the rest of your shop?
The other day I was checking my google stats as I do almost every day. I had been noticing that my visitors were usually visiting one or two of my pages instead of all of them. I began keeping an eye on this for several days and the stats were pretty much the same.
This got me thinking about something! If my visitors were only looking at my first pages, that meant that all the other pages and items were not getting seen! Unless I promote the items from those other pages, they have no visability.
I decided to try changing my shops. I put the items from my last page up to page 1 and then began mixing the rest of the pages up a bit. I wanted to see if there was any difference in my views.
After a couple of days I checked my shop page views again. Amazing!! My visitors were actually visiting some of my other pages and instead of average page visit being 2+ it had jumped up to between 3 and 4 average!
If this can work for me, I am sure it might make a difference in your shop too! Why not give it a try?
Just click on your merchandizer button, make sure you have it on activate at the top left side of the page. Next, take items from the back of your shop and send them up front by clicking on the little page box right below your item picture.
