How to make your jewelry craft table attractive and professional looking. I have done shows for several years and always try to make my jewelry displays look better every year. It is constantly evolving as I learn more and more. I am always on a budget so I try to use whatever I have in the house but I do end up at the hardware store or buying displays from vendors.

Here are some things I have learned over the years:

1. Table cloth should touch the floor.

2. White is better for a table cloth color. I layer my table with navy cloth then place a white table cloth over that.

3. I think white jewelry displays bring out jewelry more than other colors. So I am currently using mostly white but still have some black necklace displays.

4. I am now using earrings cards that I design myself, I made sure that my earring cards are long enough to accomodate many of my long earrings.

5. Need to have a banner. I found someone on Etsy.com that makes great banners and is affordable, http://www.etsy.com/shop/Lyzard914

6. I have a 6 foot table, not a lot of space for my large inventory, so I use vertical space. I bought some white colored steel book shelves at Lowe's Hardware and stand those up at each corner of my table. Take some picture frames and hang it on these steel shelves.

7. Don't overcrowd your table, I used to put to much stuff on my table and it is overwhelming for customers.

8. Your necklace, ring, and pendant displays should be at different levels, using small boxes to place your displays on.

9. Use light, get them from the hardware store, and use natural lighting, I use a temperture light of 5000K. You can get them from the hardward store, or find them online. I don't have a link to where I bought mine, but I did see them at Lowe's Hardware.

10. Table height should be around 38 inches that is what I have been told, My table height is only 30 inches, something I need to work on in the future.

Happy Crafting!

Hello Diane: Thanks for sharing your information on jewelry displays. If you haven't solved the issue of raising your table height I have a suggestion. I do jewelry shows and I purchased bed risers to elevate my tables. I live in Houston, Texas and purchased them from a store called Anna's Linen. I purchased the ones where the table can be elevated to 3 different levels with the tallest height being 8". The cost is $14.99 per box for one table. Hope this helps. Nadine Mickey
