What would we do without small businesses? If these businesses were to disappear, then this country would certainly be dull and without character. Go into a small town where there a many small little shops and you can find all sorts of interesting and unusual items. You certainly won't run into any great finds at the larger department stores.

So one weekend I was in St. Ignace, Michigan and found this neat little gift shop. There was a section where they sold rocks and such, but also they had many of these Millefiori glass nuggets. These nuggets are undrilled so some wire wrapping would be needed to make a pendant. I ended up buying several pieces and making them into pendants by using brass or copper wire and making them into spirals. I cut maybe an 8 to 9 inch section of wire and then made a spiral on both ends. The center section of the wire was shaped into a loop and used as the bail. Two part epoxy glue was used to attach the wire design to the glass nugget. I made several variations of this design and ended up with some very unique looking pendants. Certainly was a lot of fun designing and making these pendants.
