Have you ever had that moment when something suddenly come together? To me, that moment happened two days ago. I was preparing this necklace to be sent to Vanessa Lachey and when I looked for beads, I saw this unfinished piece on the back of my drawer. You probably remember it when a few months back I asked for opinions what to do with it. For the longest time I couldn't figure it out.

I grabbed it and I got an epiphany. The light bulb went on and I knew exactly how to finish it.

Upon my research of Vanessa's style in jewelry and accessories, I came into this conclusion that she loves wearing jewelry that are bold, sophisticated, big pendants, and done in simple lines. I hope my analyzation was correct ~_^

That's why I thought this mother of pearl pendant would be perfect for her. It's handmade in solid copper sheet with contrasting Argentium silver wraps around it. It's simple yet making a big statement. It's hung on a five strand, multicolor leather necklace that I finished with handmade clasps. I spent long hours to get the oxidation exactly how I wanted. I had a vision and to create that vision correctly took me several tries and multiple polishing. But all that work was really worth it. I'm very satisfied with the outcome. I think it will look great against her beautiful skin tone.

Vanessa Lachey (née Minnillo) is an American television personality, television host, model, and actress. A former Miss Teen USA, she has been a New York-based correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and a host of Total Request Live on MTV. She was the host of the Miss Universe 2007, which was held at Mexico City, Mexico, in the National Auditorium, with Mario Lopez.

On July 15, 2011, she married Nick Lachey, the singer and the former member of the famous boy band 98 Degrees. They are now expecting their first child.
