"Falling Leaves" Art Quilt is from my Weekly Journal Quilts series that I have been making since Sept. 2011. It is appx. 8"x10" in size. This piece depicts a tree in full fall color with some of the leaves swirling down to the ground. The fabric for the leaves was hand painted, and this is a one-of-a-kind artwork. Thread painting was used to create the grass beneath the tree, and freemotion quilting accents the borders and the background.
