Scarf Slide Wing or Leaf Shaped Stamped Embossed Brass Vintage

Product Description
This vintage scarf slide is a piece of embossed curved brass in the stylized shape of a curled wing or leaf, with a round medallion on one end. The style is somewhat southwestern, but it could also look Art Nouveau, depending on the scarf it is paired with.

This unusual piece of jewelry is used to hold a scarf in place without pinning. A wearer would thread the loose ends of a scarf through the metal loop on the back and wear the slide like a brooch, but without the damage that a brooch can leave behind in the delicate fabric.

It has a wide unmovable soldered band on the back, and no markings to identify maker or age. I am guessing it is from the 1980s, and that it is possibly handmade.

Dimensions:
3 in. Long x 1 1/4 in. Wide x 1/2 in. Thick (US)
7. 5 cm. Long x 3 cm. Wide x 1.5 cm. Thick (Metric)

Condition notes: This slide has developed the natural greenish brown patina of brass. It does have some fine scratching, as well. These things are visible in the photos. I am selling it as you see it in the photos.

I ship all jewelry double wrapped and padded inside a bubble wrap envelope, first class domestic with delivery confirmation, or first class international.
