This green and purple pendant of pansies is like a window looking out into a garden with its vined frame. A magazine clipping is permanently embedded and sealed in polymer clay. A twisted frame of vines reflect the colors in the print and give the cool window effect. What a fun and pretty piece for spring! This necklace is completely one of a kind and could not be recreated if I tried.

The magazine clipping was sealed behind a layer of liquid translucent clay and baked in. After curing, I gave the rectangle a thin coat of water based polyurethane gloss.

The 2.25 inch long handmade polymer clay pendant is strung onto a necklace of glass and crystal beads in pale blue, white, and light purple. The necklace measures 17 inches at its shortest and fastens with a plated lobster claw clasp. It adjusts up to 21 inches with the extension chain.
