Infinity loop silk scarf gold magenta maroon Indian sari repurposed

Product Description
Repurposed Indian silk saris in warm shades of gold, magenta, brown and maroon, accented with a strip of gold embroidery on green, were used for this lovely infinity loop scarf.

Ordered directly from my buyer in India, after they arrive here in Seattle the saris are carefully inspected for damage, than washed in a mild soap.

The next step is to color select the silks to find just the right match in tone, contrast, and shade. Then the saris are cut into strips and sewn together on my vintage Singer machine. Before final sewing, the strips are twisted around themselves several times to get the infinity effect.

This scarf is meant to be worn looped around the neck, the silks providing featherweight warmth as well as a rich color accent to your outfit. It is so soft and comfortable, you won't want to take it off!

No two scarves are exactly alike, this is truly a one of kind hand made item.

Because this fabric is being repurposed from the traditional Indian sari, there may be some minor flaws and pinholes. However, best efforts have been made to choose only the best pieces cut from the whole cloth.
