Handmade Bracelet, Coral, Turquoise, Carnelian, Jasper, Plus Size

Product Description
This eye-catching bracelet is handmade from a nice variety of gemstones, comes with a toggle clasp, and has a plus size length (which I can resize down if needed). Its focal element is a large tubular bead of sponge coral with an interesting ruddy-orange tonal shading and almost wood-like grain. This is flanked on either side by two smaller tubular beads of bright blue turquoise (stabilized), two rounds of warm carnelian, and three beads of earthy reddish-brown brecciated jasper. Silver-plated scalloped flower bead caps were added to all the tubular beads.

The range of stones and colors is meant to signify an embrace of the world, from earth, to sea, to sky.

Several silver-plated accents were added to this gemstone combination, including two lovely lantern-style beads that border the sponge coral. Smaller corrugated beads are tucked into the "embrace" and are repeated at the bracelet ends. The clasp is a nice toggle style and its circular piece has molded rings that echo the corrugations of the accent beads. Silver-plated covers are added over the crimps that secure the bracelet's underlying wire.

The length is a plus-sized 9 inches (and shown in my sixth photograph of the item). I really loved the idea of creating something pretty and comfortably fitting for a larger wrist. However, this size can be adjusted down, with the removal (as necessary) of some beads to accommodate the resizing.

Here's some further info about the elements of this "world embracing" bracelet:

Carnelian, a type of chalcedony and member of the quartz family, is a rich and regal-looking gemstone that has been used for jewelry since ancient times. It's regarded as a powerful healing stone with a number of influencing properties. These include dispelling fear, building courage, strengthening confidence, increasing creativity, and sharpening mental focus and clarity. Carnelian is also associated with protection against evil. It is linked to August as a birthstone and to the astrological sign of Virgo, and related to the sacral chakra.

Turquoise is another stone that has been valued greatly since antiquity. Considered sacred in some cultures and a bestower of good fortune, it reportedly transforms negative forces into the positive (thus detoxifying and purifying) and has many curative powers as well as protective ones. Turquoise also is seen as an aid to dreaming and bringing visions to fruition. It is linked to the astrological sign of Sagittarius and is sometimes used to align the chakras.

Sponge coral reputedly acts as an aid to reducing circulatory problems and other ailments. Perhaps because of its origins in the sea, it is seen as a Piscean "stone" and associated with the moon.

Brecciated jasper is believed to reduce stress and to promote creativity. It reportedly encourages a sense of wonder and helps to build a positive attitude. This form of jasper is also connected to communication and harmony with animals, and linked to the root chakra and kundalini energy.
