A tidal wave sweeps in, olive green and dark ivory have been hand mixed and pulled to make a new glass cane before being added to crystal clear lentil beads. The dark sweeping green is swirled into the base bead to create the wave silhouette. These five lentil beads and twelve spacer beads have also been etched to give a matte finish and a look similar to sea glass. - 25mm/2.5cm/1" x 22mm/2.2cm/0.9" Lentil bead - 20mm/2cm/0.8" x 15mm/1.5cm/0.6" Small lentil beads - 10mm/1cm/0.4" x 6mm/0.6cm/0.2" Spacers - 2mm / 5/64" Bead hole Being handmade, all measurements are approximate and may vary slightly. These beads are made from effetre/morretti glass which originates right from the heart of glass-working; Murano, Italy. They come to me as solid rods of glass which are then heated to approximately 800 degrees Celsius in my torch flame to make them molten and shaped with specialist tools and gravity to form beads, right here in my home studio based in rural Lincolnshire, UK. Every bead made in my studio has been fully kiln annealed to remove stresses in the glass and carefully cleaned of residue bead release.
