This is a large piece of driftwood with three gourd masks attached to it. The masks were created with small ornamental gourds that were burned, painted, and embellished with feathers. The driftwood was cleaned and sanded before I dyed it with leather dye. After it was dried, I rubbed in a shimmering gold glaze. It was then sealed with an acrylic, water-based finish.
