Mounted on this sterling silver ring is 12mm x 6mm marquise shaped Ametrine gemstone. Ametrine is the name used for quartz in which both amethyst and citrine occur together. The ring design is Art Deco inspired. I first designed the ring in wax and then took my wax model piece to local casting merchant and had them cast it in sterling silver. Once it was cast, I filed, polished and soldered on the sterling silver basket setting to the center of the ring, then gave it a final polishing and mounted the gemstone. The ring size is 6½ and is 9mm in width at the top of the ring. It wears very comfortably. In one of the images the backside of the ring is shown. This is not a 'thin' ring. The thickness of this ring is 3mm and the shank measures 7mm.
