This is a very unique, contemporary, abstract wall sculpture created in October 2010. I do all the designing, woodworking, and painting myself. Interesting patterns within the colors, pealescent shimmery glow, three dimensions, cool design...I like this piece. Sometimes life seems like a web that at times can be travelled easily, but sometimes we get stuck. I created this at a time when I was struggling to get unstuck. It's called: "The Web of Life in Blue" ________________________________________ Size: 15" wide, 16" tall, about 2" in depth Materials: 1/4" Baltic Birch, acrylics, dimensional paint Colors: Shades of blue, pearlescent turquoise, pearlescent blue, purple, red-violet, black Finish: Sealed with a satin finish lacquer, signed and dated on the back, ready to hang either vertically or horizontally. ________________________________________ It has six individual pieces of wood that are elevated at different heights giving it a unique, sculptural, three dimensional quality. This style of design is a little different from the traditional 2-D abstract painting, but thinking outside the box is fun.
