Here we have a lovely autumn colors glass fish, ready-to-wear for all social occasions. The body is flat to make it lightweight, and it has delicate fins to give it a very flowing, stylish flair. It has big eyes gazing up and forward, and big fishy lips, all the better to... oh nevermind :) It's a cutie, and the way I sculpt fish is the same way I've drawn them since a kid... So definitely a style of fish that's stuck with me! Enjoy this latest creation as we do, it is a great addition to our Sealife Series. This fish can also be enjoyed as a great original Christmas Ornament.

Each piece of glass art is made in my studio by me (or sometimes my husband, Paul) and properly annealed in a digitally-controlled kiln for added strength. Top 3 Reasons to love Boro:

1. It's Strong! Despite it being glass, it's actually quite strong! Only about 10% of the glass art you'll find online is borosilicate glass, and though it's hard to tell the difference, it's worth the added benefits, which include lower density and greater durability.

2. It's Unique! Borosilicate glass must be worked in front of a hot torch flame due to its very high melting point (1510*F/821*C), and thus each piece is unique on its own, never to be replicated exactly.

3. It's Beautiful! While technically the same basic chemical formula as your Pyrex baking dishes, this glass has vibrant colors that are produced from carefully added metals including fine gold and silver, cobalt, cadmium, copper, and several others.
