A friend showed me some pictures she took at the Albuquerque Balloon Festival and I knew right away that so much color and pattern had to become a quilt. I hand dyed the sky fabric twice to get just the right intense blue that was in the photos. Then I chose some bright and colorful fabrics for the balloons. A checkerboard of sky blue and mixed colors frames the piece. The quilt is 24 by 28 inches. There are plastic rings on the back for hanging.
