AngelesGlick's Policies
All my jewelry is made with quality products. I use sterling silver findings and beads. I use only 'swarovski crystals'.
My pearls are all cultured in fresh water.
My gold pieces are 14Kt-filled yellow gold.
I am very careful when ordering from a jewelry vendor that the products I buy meet high standards.
All my jewelry pieces are hand-made to specific requests; "to satisfy individual taste."
In addition to price, there is a $5.95 shipping and handling charge added to each order.
I provide a 100% money back guarantee on an item purchased from me if you are not completely satisfied with it. However, a "custom made" item that needs to be changed or redone will be assessed a nominal charge of $10. So when ordering a "custom made" piece, please be specific with your needs.
I will repair any piece of jewelry free of charge as long as the repair is due to "normal wear and tear." Simply return the item to me in its original package. Please include $5.95 for shipping and handling.
I get some of my inspiration for an item I make from the individual ordering it. So, if you see a particular item you like and you want it made differently, just include that in your order instructions. If you have a "specific" necklace, earrings, bracelet, ankle chain, choker, etc., in mind, just let me know and I will make it for you. Do you want to have a piece of jewelry made that reminds you of someone dear in your life? You, my potential customer, will get the opportunity to help me design it. A piece of jewelry made to your specific wishes and needs to remind you of that "special someone."
I began AngiesJewelry right after my son died from cardiac failure in 2007. All my proceeds from the sale of my jewelry benefit the Sung Glick Cardiac Fund at Healing the Children Florida, Inc. Visit us at www.youcanheal.org
In 1982, I founded Healing the Children Northeast a non-profit, 501 C3, organization that provides medical treatment and advocacy services to children in need. I served as Executive Director for 23 years. While under my leadership HTCNE provided free medical care and services to over 33,000 children from the US and aboard. HTCNE was one of the largest chapters of HTC National. Our family hosted over 50 children coming to the US for medical care. I retired from HTCNE in 2005 and moved to Florida. Realizing that the HTC Florida chapter was in need of assistance, I decided to take the volunteer position of Executive Director for two years, until the chapter was stable.
I also served 4 years as President of HTC National (1988 - 1992) helping to develop policies for new and existing chapters. I was the chair person for the Administration Committee of HTC National for over ten years. While in this capacity I developed policies and procedures for all HTC chapters to help them develop their international missions programs.
I have been recognized with many honors, which include Character Counts Award - Josephson Institute of Ethics and the Connecticut Coalition "Six Pillars of Character" - presented by Connecticut Governor John Rowland in 2000; 2003 Latina of the Year Award from the Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission. Avon's, Woman of the Year Award in 1988. And Citizen of the Year Award from the Gerontological Society of New York City in 2001. I am the second American Woman to join the list of 26 women from different countries to receive the Women for Peace and Harmony "International Action Golden Heart Award; Award for Humanitarian Services by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Russia; The Award for Humanitarian Services from The Association of International Cooperation and Association of Business & Cultural Contacts with the U.S. also in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I am a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International and received Rotary's Citizen of the Year Award from Rotary International in 1997.
I have been recognized by different organizations and governments from the many countries I have visited and helped to heal children.
I was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humanitarian Services from the University of Connecticut in 1987 for my work on behalf of children.
I have been featured on many television programs including the Maury Povich Show, Geraldo Rivera, Good Morning America with Bryant Gumbel and Sally Jessy Raphael, to name a few.
I stepped down as Executive Director for HTC Florida in 2007 and passed the torch to my daughter Arlene who still serves as Executive Director. I am a member of the Board of Trustees for HTC Florida and plan to continue my service to the world's most needy children.I have accomplished all of the above as "Volunteer."
My husband Arthur and I now live in Florida. We have 8 children, 3 adopted and 5 biological. Two of our children now live in Heaven. We have 8 grandchildren and expect our 9th in November 2010. We lived in Connecticut prior to moving here. I have had a rewarding career with Healing the Children for 25 years, 22 as the Executive Director/Founder of HTC Northeast and 2 years as E.D. of HTC Florida. Despite the "heartaches" I've experienced, life has been good. I dedicate my jewelry to my son, Sung Glick.
