Hold the string to a ruler and that will tell you your wrist size in inches. Bracelets may shrink a TINY hair, but you cannot stretch them larger. If you are ordering for someone not near you, and you cannot contact them for their measurements, I cannot guarantee the bracelet will fit them based on your guess and will not be responsibly for returns because the wrist measurement was wrong.
