I usually respond to questions with the same day but because of my schedule it might be up to 24 hours later. We are a non-smoking home. We have cats but they are not allowed to fabric frolic. We live in a scrub desert so depending on the time of the year and fairly regular dust storms you might find sand in your shipment, its the nature of desert living and nothing that can't be shaken out. A majority of our products are either sold 'as found' with perhaps some minor repair work where noted or we re-use fabrics to make new items. All fabrics are washed and dried. In regards to the vintage items I try not sell anything with stains, heavy smoke, musty, mildew or mothball smell. I realize old fabrics can have a smell about them that might not be apparent until after they have been washed or even boxed up for shipment. Unpack your item when you receive it. If there is a smell air it outside for a day. If that does not work washing the item alone with laundry detergent and a scoop of an oxyclean-type product and then use your regular drying cycle (you can include dryer sheets) should work. Your item will be shipped ASAP or within 3 business days. Schedule and Holiday dependent. Shipping is a flat $5 with any additional items $3. I will refund (to your Paypal) any amount over $3 difference for actual shipping. I will always try to get the best price for shipping. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AT THIS TIME. CONTINENTAL U.S. ONLY. If you are an international customer, and you are really interested in an item, please contact me to see what shipping options might be available(you are responsible for all duties and taxes upon entering your country). Why won't I ship internationally? Because sometimes these rates are just too exorbitant for the international consumer. I ship using USPS, UPS or Fedex. I require tracking, delivery confirmation and insurance on EVERY purchase. This protects both of us just in case. Please let me know of any problems with your purchase within 72 hours of receipt of delivery. Almost every item I sell is one of a kind or original. Replacements are generally not available. If you are unhappy with your purchase I will make every effort to either repair, refund or replace in kind (based on availability). If you want a repair or refund on your purchase you: 1. Must have notified me within 72 hours of delivery of your issue. 2. Mail the item back to me within 7 days of delivery WITH delivery confirmation, tracking and insurance. 3. For a refund the item must be returned in the same condition as when it left. An exception would be if the item was ruined or destroyed in shipment. If this is the case then we will file an insurance claim on the item and you will be given the option to use that item(s) credit towards something else in the store. 4. No paypal claim should be entered into until at least 14 days after delivery to ensure that we have time to deal with the situation. 5.
