Please note that I handcraft all of my products, by myself. I market my bath and beauty products under the label, Unique Garden Essences. My craft items and jewelry are all under the uniqueXpression label, and my all natural dog treats are labeled as Unique Treat Dog Bones. While I have separate shops with these names on other venues, here on Artfire I have combined the products and listed them together under the Unique_Garden name.
Unless otherwise noted, the policies listed apply to each product. All disclaimers and liability limits apply to each product, regardless of the shop label.

*************SHIPPING POLICIES************

**Unless otherwise noted, all items will ship throughout the USA via first class USPS mail. I will ship to any overseas country that allows the import of the item ordered. If your home is not listed, please contact me and I will verify the import regulations and the shipping costs.

**I do not intend to profit from shipping fees. Should the actual cost of shipping and shipping related fees (such as delivery confirmation or insurance) be overcharged by more than $0.50, you will receive an automatic refund.

*****************CUSTOM ORDERS***************

I gladly accept custom orders, in a variety of price ranges, with a 50% deposit due before work commences. The balance and the shipping fees are payable upon project completion, or as previously agreed. Once the deposit is received, it is non-refundable

Custom jewelry orders will be discussed (via email, pictures, and/or telephone) thoroughly. No component will be ordered until you authorize it. Once it is authorized, the deposit will be due and, once received, will be non-refundable. Your price quote will not include extra stones or components unless previously agreed upon. I will do my best to represent color and stone description adequately, but I am not responsible for computer monitor resolution.

** Please note that a fragrance choice is not considered custom work, and does not require a deposit.


****************REFUND POLICY*****************

**Due to the personal nature of Unique garden essences and Unique Treat Dog Bones products, I do not offer refunds. That being said, I do want you to be happy with your purchase. Since I have only had one scent complaint in eleven years, and no quality issues, I fully believe that you will be happy with your purchase. Should you not be, please contact me and I will attempt to rectify the situation to our mutual satisfaction.

Refund requests for uniqueXpression products will be determined on an individual basis. Products returned without a return id number will NOT be accepted. Should you desire a refund, please contact me with a detailed explanation of the issue(s), and I will work to correct the problem in a mutually acceptable manner.

**SHELF LIFE for Unique garden Essences Products**

I only utilize natural preservatives, therefore many products have a limited shelf life. I recommend using the lotion within 6 months of purchase, although I personally have used it for as long as 1yr. While the fragrance was no longer full-bodied, the lotion was still soothing to my skin.

Massage oils should be used within 6 months, but again, may be used longer without doing harm. Some face and body scrubs have a 2 week shelf life, while others have a 1-6 month shelf-life. Assume that all products have at least a 6 months shelf life unless otherwise noted.
If the shelf life is severely limited, it will be noted in the item description.

**SHELF LIFE/STORAGE/REFRIGERATION AND FREEZING for Unique Treat Dog Bones products**

Since my products do not contain any preservatives, care must be taken in storage. In general you should store dog treats the same way you would homemade people cookies. That being said, there are two main variables that determine storage time/shelf life; 1) the amount and type of fat in the recipe and 2) your local weather conditions.

If your treat has butter, meat bits, meat juices, fresh fruits or vegetables in it, it will be more prone to rancidity. Also, treats may mold or spoil much faster in humid or very hot climates.

Although I've never had the treats last very long around my dogs, under ideal conditions, you can keep treats in an air-tight container for approx. 3-4wks.

Refrigeration will prolong the life to approx. 6-8 weeks. Make sure to store in a tightly sealed container or zip lock bag.

I recommend keeping all uneaten bones that contain meats, cheeses and vegetable in the refrigerator, although I know users who do not, and they have not had issues with them in the short term.

You can also freeze treats in zip lock freezer bags.Frozen bones should be used within approx. 8 months. Always remember to allow the treats to thaw completely before use. This should take approx. 20-30 min.

No matter how you store your treats, before feeding inspect each treat for signs of mold. If any is noticed, throw the treat out, as mold is dangerous for dogs to ingest.

**Shop Notes**
July 15, 2008, because of business issues and concerns I had to stop listing the exact ingredients of my products, recipes, and blends on my web stores. While I hated doing this, I found it necessary to protect my recipes.

Rest assured that your Unique Garden Essences product(s) will have a detailed ingredient label, as required by law. Dog Treats are not required to have ingredient labels.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this policy causes you. Should you have ANY question or concerns, please contact me. I will be happy to verify the use or non-use of a potential allergen, but I will not simply list product ingredients for anyone. It is truly a shame that a few bad apples had to spoil the bunch.

If you feel odd, have shortness of breath, or note swelling of the tongue or face, seek immediate medical attention as this may be a potentially life-threatening reaction. Should you have redness, itching or general skin irritation, discontinue product use, wash the area with a mild soap, rinse with water and pat dry. Seek medical attention if you feel it necessary.
